Kenny van Hummel (Skil-Shimano) won the first stage of de 4 Jours de Dunkerque (France) in the bunch sprint. Sébastien Chavanel (Française des Jeux) finished second and Dutchmen Steven de Jongh (Quick Step) third.

For Van Hummel it was his second victory in just four days after winning the classic race “Ronde van Overijssel” in The Netherlands last weekend. “The timing is good: this is the period I wanted to be in good shape”, said Van Hummel.
