Lars Boom wins Vuelta stage, using Di2
Lars Boom (Team Rabobank) showed his huge talent once again in his solo victory in the 15th stage of the Vuelta a Espana. The former World Champion Cyclo Cross is only 23 years old but already built an impressive palmares in multiple cycling disciplines. He focuses purely on road racing this year, resulting in a victory in the Tour of Belgium this Spring and adding an impressive stage win in his first Grand Tour yesterday.

Lars Boom was riding the electronic shifting system SHIMANO DURA-ACE Di2. Boom was one of the first riders in his team to embrace this new technology that offers him a reliable and effortless handling. Boom: “DURA-ACE Di2 makes it much easier for me to control my shifting system. Once you have tried it, there is no way of going back to a mechanical system.”

Lars Boom is also riding with SHIMANO SH-R220 Custom Fit shoes, SHIMANO DURA-ACE wheels and a PRO handlebar and stem.

Good luck Lars in the remaining Vuelta week and of course at the World Championships in Mendrisio, Switzerland!
